GCTS Libraries COVID-19 Response

While the library is closed library staff will continue to facilitate academic work and provide remote support as best as we can. This blog post provides an overview of how to get in contact with us, tools for locating physical and digital resources, recommended guides, and a free gift while many of us are at home: Rightnow Media (offering over 10,000 video Bible studies, leadership videos, and kids shows).

Check the Library website (http://library.gordonconwell.edu/) regularly for updates regarding services and hours of operation. Information specific to each campus is available there as well.

Free Gift for GCTS Community: RightNow Media

RightNow Media is a huge, streaming, online, access-on-any-device library of over 10,000 video Bible studies, leadership videos, kids shows and more. To sum it up — it’s like the Netflix of Bible study videos.

Digital GCTS & DTL Resources:

• Thousands of eBooks and millions of journal articles are available through the Digital Theological Library (http://digitaltheologicallibrary.org) and the seminary’s A-Z Database page (http://library.gordonconwell.edu/online).
• Use the GCTS Worldcat Discovery Catalog (https://gordonconwell.on.worldcat.org/discovery) to simultaneously search GCTS physical and digital resources as well as digital resources available through the DTL.
• Library staff regularly check for digital resources the DTL can add to its collection. This check is performed whenever books are requested for book mailing, ILL requests, scan requests, or title recommendations. Please use the Contact Form (http://library.gordonconwell.edu/requests) and we will check to see if requested eBooks can be added to the DTL.

Physical GCTS & ILL Resources:

• Students & Faculty can request a limited number of library books through the mail. (See http://library.gordonconwell.edu/mail-request for instructions.)
• Interlibrary loan requests can still be fulfilled if items are available electronically (request items in the library catalog as normal http://library.gordonconwell.edu/interlibraryloan).

Book Returns & Renewals:

• We ask for patrons with books checked out to continue to renew them online using your library account (http://library.gordonconwell.edu/account) or by contacting us. Five renewals are available.
• Book returns are handled differently at each GCTS campus library. Please use the Contact Form to receive instructions on how to return items to your campus library.
