Archives

The Archives room includes three exceptional collections for primary source research on American Evangelicalism.  With the exception of the Adventual Collection, access is by appointment and permission of the Senior Librarian.

Adventual Collection. This is a unique collection of material related to Advent Christian Church and the former Berkshire Christian College. This collection is accessible to researchers by appointment only. Please contact Dr. Isaac Gordon for access information.

The Harold John Ockenga Collection. The Harold John Ockenga Papers include several thousand volumes of books from Dr. Ockenga’s personal library, thousands of letters, nearly 3000 manuscript sermons, hundreds of recordings of his sermons and addresses, institutional minutes, photographs, publications, personal memorabilia and ephemera. Except for his personal library and some of his recordings, the collection is stored in approximately 110 archival boxes (12” wide, 15” deep, and 10” high). A portion of the collection was left in the care of the seminary by Dr. Ockenga when he retired from the presidency of the school in 1979, but the greater portion of the collection was given to the seminary in 1990 by the Ockenga family.
